International Food Fair

Hazelwood College Leaving Certificate Applied students Conor Begley (left) and Alan Murphy (right) prepare to participate in the International Food Fair, which was held recently as part of their Hotel, Catering and Tourism module. Mog Car Safety

LCA students attended a car safety and maintenance workshop on Wednesday 11th November. The workshop was facilitated by Mechanic Michael O’Gorman who invented the MOG car, which has been modified to show all working parts through the removal of panels
The MOG car safety demonstration is a unique practical training programme that reveals all the key components of a car. The demonstration showed would-be drivers the practical function of car components, covering safety and car maintenance.
The workshop was both an entertaining and educational event!

Cheerios Childline Breakfast Morning

LCA2 students Conor Begley, Padraig O Kelly, Alan Murphy, Tara O Leary, Chloe Sexton, Emma O Callaghan, JJ Sherlock & Darren Geary recently organised a Cheerios breakfast morning in aid of Childline.

All first years attended the breakfast morning and a total of €210 was raised for the Childline charity

As part of their Hotel Catering and Tourism studies, Hazelwood College Leaving CErtificate Applied students paid a recent visit to An tIonad Glas, Dromcollogher in order to study horticulture. Knockfierna Walk

Hazelwood College Leaving Certificate Applied students are pictured on the peak of Knockfierna after climbing it recently as part of Mental Health Week. While there the students got some insights into the difficulties families had to endure during the famine times.

National Ploughing Championship 2015

At the recent graduation evenings a number of achievements by students in the school were recognised. Both were wonderful nights where the students and their parents were able to celebrate the collective and individual accomplishments of students.

Hazelwood College Leaving Certificate Applied Students recently visited the Clarion Hotel, Limerick, as part of their Hotel, Catering and Tourism studies.
