Great news today to learn that Callum and Eimear had such a successful weekend at the Tailteann Games. Callum taking gold in the 5Kg Shot Putt and Eimear taking silver in the 300m hurdles. Both athletes have now qualified to represent their school and their country at the Schools Track & Field International in Derbyshire, England at the end of the month. Congratulations to both athletes, their families and coaches.
A big weekend is ahead of two of Hazelwood’s talented athletes who have qualified to represent the school at this years Tailteann Games which takes place in Dublin. It is a great achievement to be able to compete at this prestigious event with a fascinating history. Best of luck to Callum Keating and Eimear Galvin at the games.

Congrats to Callum Keating in the North Munster Track & Field event in Castleisland today. He threw 14.61metres in the Junior Boys Shot and now holds the North Munster Schools record!
Well done to Hazelwood College who came 4th overall in the annual LCETB Sports Day in UL. 11 schools participated this year and we were 6 points shy of 3rd place. Loads of medals in shot putt and long jump.

Well done to Callum Keating who came 1st in the Minor Boys Shot. (Personal Best throw 15.10) Colm Galvin came 6th in the Senior Boys Javelin. Megan Lenihan came 3rd in the Inter Girls Javelin and 5th in the Inter Girls Discuss.
