WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 – FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2006

This year’s Higher Options Conference on entry procedures to third level colleges in Ireland and the UK. will take place in the RDS, Merrion Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

Now in its twenty-first year, the conference has become the definitive and centralised forum of third level choices for Irish students. It also has the official sanction of the Irish Department of Education & Science.

These institutions included universities, colleges of further and higher education, agricultural colleges, art colleges, institutes of technology, nursing and paramedical schools, year-out organisations, professional bodies and central admissions bodies such as CAO and UCAS. The format of the conference is the same for each of the three days, to cater for the thousands of final year students who travel from all over Ireland to attend; additionally the conference centre will open this year on Thursday evening to accommodate the increasing numbers of mature students and parents who have expressed an interest in attending. Bookings from schools are not completed until mid-September, but we anticipate in the region of 25,000 students, guidance counsellors, and parents over the three-day period.
