MTU visit for LCPE

Our 5th year LCPE class had a great day last week in Tralee for the annual MTU LCPE Event.

They enjoyed a range of lectures and workshops from the likes of Joe O’Connor (Limerick Hurling Performance Manager) and Monika Durarska (2020 Olympic rower).

The students in 2C tutor class decided they would like to make a personal gift for each other this year. So each student got an opportunity to write out some positive adjectives describing each other. A festive bauble keepsake was filled with these positive adjectives for each student. They were delighted with their personal gift along with their hot chocolate drink!

Sustainability

Our Ag Science students were delighted to attend an Agri workshop on Sustainability hosted by AIB and Teagasc. Very informative and interesting speakers.

Comhairle na nOg

Well done to our students who gave up their recent day off to take part in Comhairle na nOg today. They got stuck in and identified and voted for the coming years topic. Why don’t you ask them what it is!

Woodlands House Hotel

The 6th Year LCVP class had a fantastic visit to the Woodlands House Hotel and Spa in Adare on Wednesday 22nd November. Thanks to David Fitzgerald and staff for their wonderful hospitality.

Today we were delighted to welcome Marcus Bale from Cyclone Rep to perform his highly engaging one-man show “Shylocks Revenge” for all third years. Students enjoyed playing roles in the show themselves and picked up lots of useful information for their upcoming Junior Cycle English exam
