Knockfeirna and Positive Mental Health

Hazelwood College Leaving Certificate Applied students recently climbed Knockfeirna as part of their Positive Mental Health Promotion Fortnight. Students were encouraged to undertake this physical challenge in order to gain a sense of positive achievement on reaching the summit, while also working together through encouragement. LCA students with Nick Feehan & Alexander Walsh from Personal Safety Ireland

Recently Leaving Certificate Applied students completed a one day workshop where there was an emphasis on personal awareness, responsible decision making, respect for oneself and others.

Personal Safety and Awareness is an invaluable aspect of student development and relevant to students throughout their school career and adult life.

The students really enjoyed the day especially the self defence aspect.

Cheerios Childline Breakfast Morning

LCA2 students Conor Begley, Padraig O Kelly, Alan Murphy, Tara O Leary, Chloe Sexton, Emma O Callaghan, JJ Sherlock & Darren Geary recently organised a Cheerios breakfast morning in aid of Childline.

All first years attended the breakfast morning and a total of €210 was raised for the Childline charity
