‘Au revoir’

We said ‘Au revoir’ to our lovely French student Adélie Friday 31st March with a banquet of Irish ☘️ food and baked goods. As she heads back to Grenoble we will always remember her contribution to life in Hazelwood College – our Club français at ‘l’heure de déjeuner’ every vendredi, with tasty snacks, where 6th years got to ‘bavarder en francais’ as preparation for their Orals, her presentations to her own first year French class about ‘la vie en France 🇫🇷, la nourriture, l’école, les passe-temps, etc.’ Merci notre chère Adélie et à la prochaine! Bon retour de tous tes amis à Hazelwood 🤩🇫🇷🎉 She has been a wonderful addition and has made many connections and friendships while studying in Hazelwood College.

Germany Day 4

Our final day of or trip took us to Dachau Concentration Camp. A somber start matched by the weather. It was certainly a memorable experience and the students listened intently to the horrors that had taken place in the recent past. Thanks to strikes in Germany our flights were cancelled so next up was a 5 hour bus ride through Switzerland to Zurich to catch the next available flight …3 countries in 4 days- it has definitley been adventure with 44 fantastic students who have been brilliant company and an absolute credit to their families and their school.
