Senior Football

Great win for the senior footballers against St. Augustine’s in the Munster Championship. They battled through a storm orange rain warning to win 3-7 to 1-10 after extra time.

Concern Debates

Our fantastic school TY debating team were in action against The Sacred Heart Grammar School Newry today online in the Concern National All Ireland Debating competition. They await the adjudicators results.

Annual Open Day & Night

The annual open night for prospective incoming students will take place on the evening of Thursday 19th October 2023 from 7 – 9p.m.

Principals Address will commence at 7.00p.m.

All are welcome

On display on the night will be samples of student work from across the year groups, classroom displays and exhibitions, and a competition for incoming students.

In conjunction with the open night will be an open day on Wednesday 18th October from 9.30a.m. – 12.30p.m. 5th and/or 6th class students from local schools will be brought to the school to experience the school in action. Senior students will guide students through the school and its facilities. Students in fifth or sixth class from primary schools not attending on the day are welcome to visit also with their Parent/Guardian. Available on the open night will include information on the programmes and subject we offer

Well Read National Award

Hazelwood College has been awarded the prestigious PDST Well Read National Award Congratulations to the Wellread Committee and everyone who was involved in various activities.

Basketball News

U16 and U19 girls travelled to Laurel Hill today. U16s had no luck losing to a stronger side but the U19s had a great victory beating them 55-24

Burren 2023

And so concludes our annual 1st year bonding trips to the Burren. A huge thank you to the transition year students and staff who volunteered their time to make these trips happen and be so successful. Below are links to the school’s Facebook posts from the trips.
