Hazelwood Hurlers Reach Munster Final
The semi final was a tough encounter with Carrick on Suir scoring a point within the first minute. Hazelwood quickly responded with a free and began their scoring spree. Hazelwood dominated the remainder of the first half with every player playing to their full potential.
Patrick O Regan opened the scoring in the second half with a point from play. Carrick On Suir scored their 4th point of the day from a free in the 32nd minute. A quick puck-out to Seamus Sheehen resulted in the ball in the back of the net after Jamie Coughlan connecting supremely with the sliotar. Soon after “big” Jamie Coughlan scored his 2nd point of the day, along with Jerry Lane adding another score to his tally. Carrick On Suir getting another score from a free. Another Hazelwood goal resulted from a placed ball. At this stage the game was over and Hazelwood cruised to victory. Great performances were seen at all corners of the field. The Munster final is due to be played after Christmas against the winners of Kanturk and Clonakility.
