Hazelwood Debators triumph over CBS Charleville

Pictured are the Hazelwood College debating team who triumphed over near neighbours Charleville CBS in the first round of this years Competition. The team of Transition Years Heather Coffey, Niamh O’Brien, Gary Hanley and Donal O’Callaghan outclassed their opponents on the motion that “G.M.O.s are essential in fighting world hunger” winning on a scoreline of 3-0. For all four team members it was their debut in the prestigious competition and they are hoping to continue on Hazelwoods proud debating tradition. They now look forward to meeting their next opponents the Patrician Academy Mallow.
