Here are some of the photos from our recent trip to Cappanalea Outdoor Education Centre near Killorglin in County Kerry. It was our biggest trip yet of made up of 105 students and 6 teachers. The purpose of the trip was to allow the first year students to get to know another better in a setting outside of classroom. A number of Transition Year students accompanied us on the trip to act as mentors and to assist the teachers with the large numbers of students involved.
While in Cappanalea students (and teachers!) took part in many activities. These included Hill-Walking, Kayaking, Orienteering, Rock-Climbing, Abseiling, Night Swimming, Night Hiking, Team Building Games and the odd game of cards.
