On Monday the 27th of February last, a C.S.P.E class from Hazelwood College ventured into Limerick City for an educational experience in the Limerick Circuit Court. The class had an early start to reach the court at around 10 o’clock. It was a great experience at the courts for everyone. We were all able to see how the Law works in our country. We were present for two cases and we personally felt sorry for the criminals in these courts as the judge was quite heavy on the sentences. However the Barristers really impressed us with their persuasive skills. We would urge anyone to just drop in and view a court case, although a ring in advance to the reception in the circuit court would be advisable. We really enjoyed our day and we learned so much. We would like to thank the Circuit Court for having us and Mrs Garrihy our class teacher.
